Area Manager

Lagree West offers high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workouts focused on fostering mind-to-muscle connection in a community-driven, supportive environment. With six studios in Vancouver and Victoria, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service and encouragement to help guests reach their fitness goals.

Job Purpose:

As an Area Manager, you’ll lead the operations of multiple studios, ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences for both guests and team members. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for hospitality, team development, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be visible across studios, managing daily operations while supporting long-term growth through hands-on leadership.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Uphold and enforce guest experience standards across all studios.

  • Provide coaching to Studio Managers, ensuring they deliver elevated, consistent service.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating top-tier hospitality in all guest interactions.

  • Address challenging guest feedback promptly, aiming to exceed expectations.

  • Regularly audit and refine guest experience policies to enhance service quality.

People + Talent

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding for all studio teams.

  • Provide continuous feedback to foster team growth and accountability.

  • Identify high-potential employees and develop retention plans.

  • Ensure studios maintain high-performance teams, swiftly addressing underperformance.

Business Operations

  • Serve as the primary leader across studios, frequently visiting to ensure operational excellence.

  • Conduct regular studio audits to ensure Studio Managers meet operational standards.

  • Balance strategic and tactical responsibilities to align with business needs.

  • Lead studio operations when Studio Managers are absent or positions are vacant.

Financial Performance

  • Drive sales growth and monitor studio revenue performance.

  • Manage operational expenses and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Company Culture

  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership, embodying company values in all interactions.

  • Bring a positive, proactive attitude to work every day, consistently representing the brand.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading front-of-house operations.

  • Preference for candidates with multi-location management experience or transferable skills that demonstrate capability in overseeing multiple units.

  • Strong people management and development skills.

  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Information

Reports to: Studio Director

Salary: Starting at $85K, with a competitive bonus structure.

Employment Type: Full-time, in-studio

Schedule: Full-time, in-studio position. Must be available for flexible hours and occasional travel.
